20-Year-Old CT Tractor Driver Killed In Crash, Police Say

A 20-year-old Connecticut man crossing a roadway on a tractor was struck and killed by a passing car.

The crash took place in Hartford County in East Granby, around 9:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 14 on Floydville Road.

According to the Connecticut State Police, a 33-year-old East Hartland woman identified as Lila Guarco, was driving a Jeep Cherokee Latitude on Floydville Road when she struck a tractor crossing the roadway.

Medics and firefighters from the East Granby Fire Department responded to the scene, but could not save the tractor driver, identified as Leonel Bernardo, of Hartford, state police said.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
